K-C Raceway signs two established sponsors

CHILLICOTHE, OHIO- Tabbed as one of the biggest announcements of the 2006 racing season at Jim Nier's K-C Raceway, K-C owner Jim Nier announced the signing of two major sponsors for this racing season-Bazell Race Fuels of Logan, Ohio and Kentucky based Big Sandy Furniture Superstores. The partnership between the raceway and these corporate sponsorships could lead to a long term relationship among the parties, and as a result bring a new dimension to an already growing entertainment venue K-C has to offer.
"We are very pleased to sign on with Bazell Race Fuels and Big Sandy Superstores. This is a major announcement for us here at K-C Raceway." said K-C spokesman Bruce Hines. "This is a big deal for us and we hope it turns into a long term relationship. We appreciate all of our sponsors. Racing is sponsorship oriented from local racing to NASCAR. The Nier's have already taken local racing to a higher level. And with the Dirt Track World Championship as a cornerstone they hope to take dirt racing to the next level. We hope this partnership with our new sponsors benefits all the parties involved and we hope our fans support those who support us."

Bazell Race Fuels features Sunoco Racing Gasoline’s and Alky Racing Alcohol among its many racing products. Bazell Race Fuels is now the "Official racing fuel of K-C Raceway".
Bazell Race Fuels is pleased to announce the signing of a long-term partnership with the historic K.C. Raceway in Waverly, Ohio. Founded in 1953, the track has a long history of racing action. Jim Nier purchased the track in 2002 and has made several improvements, making it a showplace for southern Ohio racing. Premier events such as the "Ohio Challenge," featuring the World of Outlaw sprints vs. the All Star Circuit of Champions, "The Night the Stars Come Out," "Veterans Appreciation 100," and especially the grand finale, "Dirt Track World Championship," have drawn crowds of racers and fans alike to K.C. Although Big Sandy Superstore has a location in Chillicothe, Ohio, sponsorship to K-C Raceway comes from all Big Sandy locations. Big Sandy Superstore was founded in Ashland, Kentucky in 1953 by Robert Van Hoose, Sr. Fresh out of the Air Force, Mr. Van Hoose had a $1000 loan from his wife Lorna and opened his first store. With his faith in God as his foundation, Mr. Van Hoose ran his business on a very basic principle…the golden rule.
Van Hoose believed in giving customers the best possible value for the money spent and if there was a problem, simply follow the golden rule. This simple formula has stood the test of time as Big Sandy has grown into a regional powerhouse in the home furnishings industry and is one of the nation’s top 100 furniture retailers. The family values, arcades for special events, and events such as Kids Night appealed to the Big Sandy philosophy of doing business. "Kids Night" at K-C is May 20, 2006. Nier added, "I am anxious to get 2006 underway. The weather has been terrible. I hope our fans and racers bare with us and support us when the weather breaks. Our fans are very important to us as well. Hopefully, we get the season underway on April 22, 2006.
