PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release Allison, Smith, Hull and Babcock Battle to Victory Lane at Limaland May 20, 2005 Four classes of cars took on the famed Limaland Motorsports Park bullring this past Friday night. The USAC Ford Focus Midget Series joined the EFI/NRA Sprint Invaders, the Professional Computer Company UMP Modifieds and the Bud Thunderstocks in putting on an action packed show on another lightning fast track. Tim Allison claimed his first EFI/NRA Sprint Invader feature win for the 2005 season. Allison used every inch of racetrack to overtake and pass the early leader Kent Wolters. Wolters running on the bottom and Allison making the late race pass on the high side to claim victory. Mike Dussel finished third after fending of many challenges from Dennis Yoakum through out the race. A hard charging Mike Miller powered to a strong fifth place finish. Ryan Smith led wire to wire to take the USAC Ford Focus feature. Smith of Poconos, Pa held off charges from Jordan Noblitt early but Noblitt was forced out of the race by mechanical problems. Tate Martz, Ronnie Wuerdeman, Stephanie Mockler, and Ryan Scott rounded out the top five. Terry Hull continued his winning ways in the Professional Computer Company UMP Modifieds by holding off an impressive drive by Shawn O'Connor. Hull and O'Connor exchanged the lead several times during the race with Hull leading at lap 18 when a late race caution set up a two lap shoot-out. O'Connor used the high side of the track to make one last shot at victory but settled for second as Hull moved up on the track to take the line away and claim victory. Doug St Meyers finished third just ahead of Jeff Babcock and Tony Anderson. Jeff Babcock pulling double duty claimed victory in the Bud Thunderstocks. Barney Craig had to settle for second after the mid race pass by Babcock. Shawn Valenti showed his strength by passing Tony Anderson and Lenny Guyton to finish in the third place position. Andy Holderman was the McDonalds Dash for Cash Winner and Shawn O'Connor won the Smith Boughan Cool Move of the Night. Next week Limaland will be hosting the Memorial Cup VII.
